Flue gas desulfurization technology with circulating fluidized bed (CFB-FGD) is an advanced technology which has been developed and industrialized gradually in the world. Now the most of the flue gas desulfurization processes which are applied in CFB in our country are introduced from abroad which can not fix the domestic atmosphere. So it is very important to study CFB-FGD technology further. Taking the reform of one project for example, the research about CFB-FGD technology was carried out in this paper, based on a large number of exiting CFB-FGD technologies.To solve the problems that exist in the flue gas desulfurization technology of circulating fluidized bed, such as, wall fouling in tower, big resistance, easily jammed the nozzle, complicated system and so on, this article brought forward a new CFB-FGD process, which focuses on economic operation and system security. This paper also accomplished a410t/h boiler CFB-FGD process’s system design based on a technical reform project. The process which has lots of characteristics, such as high desulfurization efficiency and less space occupied, can solve the above problems. To validate the feasibility of this precept, applying standard k-ε turbulence model and discretized the control equation in finite volume method, we simulate the flows in the desulfurization tower, according to actual architecture and operating parameters based on SIMPLE algorithm. When technical reform project was done and desulfurization devices were launched, we made a thermal state test about the desulfurization rate.The result shows that the CFB-FGD process presented by this paper is simple, safe and reliable. And the desulfurization rate is above90%when the Ca/S ratio is less than1.3. It can meet desulfurization demand compared with the same type. The research of this article provides a choice and practical experience for developing FGD devices which can match the situation of our country.
