Pressure straightening machines are very important equipments in metallurgical production. In the process of steel production, products are bending because of heat, cool, transportation or other factors, which badly affects product quality. Straightening machines can not only make bending products straightening, but also can improve steel products performance.Pressure straightening machine not only affect steel product, but also decide the quality of steel production. The traditional manual adjustment and mechanical drive is obstacles to the development of straightening machine for high accuracy and high speed. But hydraulic proportional technology can solve this problem very easily. This paper mainly research position control system of hydraulic pressure straightening. Machine, including the system design, selection of components, mathematical modeling and computer simulation analysis.The paper firstly introduces straightening technology and straightening machines and its development at home and abroad. Then it introduces the principle and mechanical structure of straightening machine. And hydraulic system diagram is design on the basis of the straightening machine function, component selection and parameter calculation is done at the same time. After the static design, hydraulic system is modeled and simulation by use of the method of transmission function and blocks diagram and DSHplus software. Then, the stability and the response characteristics of the system are discussed. After that PID controller and fuzzy adaptive PID controller are used to improve the system effectiveness. Finally, I research on nonlinear characteristics of dead zone of proportional valve, and two simple compensation methods are proposed.
