Ground subsidence as abrupt geological hazard, is one of the main disasters in China, usually happens in big cities or industrial areas, witch with longer history, large-scale mining activities and a large number of mining industry, it can be harmful to the national economy construction and people lives and property. Moreover, it has the features such as unexpected, and concealament, once it occurred might not only cause a huge loss to people’s life and properties, and the disaster after is unrecoverable, but also cause social unrest.In recent years, with the rapid development of China’s economic, underground mining activities has increased in all kinds of mineral resources, the impact on the environment and the destruction is growing more and more, as result of the ground subsidence, the harm caused is also growing. The main performance of ground subsidence is shown da the destruction of the surface buildings, roads, farmland and forest, destroy the surrounding geological environment, ecological environment; threaten the surrounding residents property safety.This thesis analyzes the domestic and foreign literatures, expounds research progress on the ground subsidence and ground fissure. It cleared the research content, developed technical route by collecting and analysis of the basic information on the mining area, obtains the following conclusions by collected the deformation monitoring data of on ground surface, using the probability integral method of ground subsidence and ground fissures of geological disasters evaluation:1, this thesis analyzes the situation and characteristics on the Changling coal mining area surface subsidence and ground fissure disaster, research the ground subsidence and ground fissures caused by underground mining.2, after the underground coal seam been extracted out, the downward movement and deformation of gob roof strata occurred by stress of the self-weight, ground subsidence and ground fissure formation can be analyzed.3, by using probability integral method for surface movement and deformation values calculation, using the surface horizontal deformation, curvature, inclined value to measure the ground subsidence ground fissure zone in.4, to reduce the damage of ground subsidence and ground fissure hazards, put forward grouting method, local support overburden, ahead of the release of goaf subsidence potential law countermeasures.
