With the advantages of adhesion, glossiness, abrasion and innocuity,no pollution etc, the aqueous polyurethane ink has become focus ofresearch and development. In this paper, aqueous polyurethane ink withbetter water resistance for plastic film was researched, and the emphasisis to solve water resistance and adhesion. Therefore, It can besummarized as follows:(1) Take the advantage of single factor test, determine the optimalsynthesis condition of the waterborne polyurethane are that thetemperature of prepolymerization reaction is65℃, the content of catalystis96mg(compared to20g polyester glycol), the time is5hours.(2) Different composition and structure of the polyester glycol (PEAand PNA and PE/DEA) were adopted to synthesize waterbornepolyurethane, the conclusion is that: the samples based PNA haveexceedingly good water resistance, but poor adhesion. While the samplesbased PEA have excellent adhesion, but weak water resistance.(3) Based the result of (2), by PNA and PEA’s matching, a series ofwaterborne polyurethane were prepared, and the affects of synthesisconditions were studied. The conclusion is that: when the mass ratio ofpolyester PBA and PNA is3:1, the value of R is1.2, the content ofDMPA is9%, chain extender was1,4-Butylene glycol, the degree ofneutralizer is1.2, the comprehensive performance of the waterbornepolyurethane is preferably.(4) Make the use of alcoholysis between ethylene glycol and tung oil,the hydroxyl was introduced into the chain of tung oil, with this productwaterborne polyurethane based tung oil was prepared. The results showthat the target product was highest when the temperature oftransesterification is120℃,the molar ratio of tung oil and glycol is1:4;the collectivity performance of Polyurethane emusion and film is goodwhen the molar ratio of BDO and single hydroxyl acid ester based tungoil was3:1.(5) To polyether polyurethane, binder Polyester polyurethane, tung oil modified polyurethane formulation of the three types of ink. Theproperties of waterborne polyurethane ink were studied. The result showthat the ink prepared by tung oil modified polyurethane has excellentproperties such as adhesion, water resistance and glossiness etc, and it canmeet the need of printing ink for plastic film.
