In this paper,the effect of resin content on water-borne UV ink for gravure printing of plastics was studied by using water-borne UV resin,pigments,water-borne,ethanol,photoinitiator and defoamer.The suitable basic formula of ink was obtained as follows:resin 45%,pigment 15%,water 25%,ethanol 5%,photoinitiator 2%,dispersant 0.2%,leveling agent 2%,surfactant 0.25%,defoamer 0.3%,regulator 0.25%,film-forming additive 2%.Ink viscosity,particle size and color density are 4.25P,0.5?m and 1.2,respectively.The adhesion firmness of the three films is 100%for biaxially oriented nylon film,96%for polyterephthalic acid film and 30%for biaxially oriented polypropylene film.Ink initial drying capacity is 6.7mm/30s,light curing speed is 16s,after 6 months storage,the size of ink used mainly concentrates in less than 10 ?m.On the basis of basic formulation,the effect of one-component and two-component blends on the performance of ink was studied for three kinds of water-based UV resins on the market.It was found that the viscosity of the three kinds of inks increased,the ink dispersibility was better,the storage stability was improved,and the adhesion on biaxially oriented polypropylene film was not effectively improved.In order to solve the problem of low adhesion of resin printing on biaxially oriented polypropylene film.Water-borne UV polyurethane acrylic resin was synthesized by using toluene diisocyanate,polypropylene glycol 1000,2,2-hydroxymethyl propionic acid and pentaerythritol triacrylate.By changing the ratio of toluene diisocyanate and polypropylene glycol 1000 and reaction temperature.When the initial R value is 2,the reaction temperature and time are 80?and 6 h,respectively,the reaction is stable,and there are no large numbers of bubbles during emulsification,so the emulsified product has good fluidity.When the capping rate is 44%,the range of emulsion particles is 53nm,and freeze-thaw stability can reach more than 5 times.A series of water-borne UV polyurethane solutions with initial R value of 1.6-2.0 were synthesized by programmed cooling.The appearance of the solution was colorless and transparent.The initial R value had better film-forming ability after 1.8.When ink was prepared with self-made resin,the fluidity of ink prepared with solution resin was poor at the same viscosity.Ink preparation with initial drying solution resin is poor.In the aspect of dispersibility,the particles of ink and pigment prepared by two resins are mostly concentrated at about 0.3 ?m.The maximum color density of two kinds of resin inks printed on three kinds of films is 1.5.The adhesion strength of most inks can reach 100%on three kinds of films.
