Hitting power is one of the important parameters in forging process, the test of pressforce is very important in the study of physical phenomena in the forging process.It canhelp to develop a reasonable process,to improve the quality and cost-effective, as wellas automated detection and automatic control.This paper focuses on the test of hitting power for research, combined with the strainmeasurement techniques and numerical simulation methods.Strain body and press force,strain body and output voltage exist a linear relationship,so establish of a linearrelationship between theoutput voltage and pressforce.Full text of the study mainly dividedinto three parts.1. Design a press force test system devices. Between hitting power and the body strainestise a linear relationship, using the body as a force sensor for elastic element. Attachstrain gauge in sensitive parts of the body. Chosing BX120-5AA strain gauge as fullbridge circuit.Accordingto full-bridge circuit works, the body against the strain through theprocess of change is reflected in the output voltage. The strain is very small, designan amplifier circuit to achieve the maximum amplification of signals. Select the typeof data acquisition card NET1616for the signal A/D conversion, Using LabVIEW softwarefor programming, the signal filtering, amplification and other processing.2.This paper presents methods to calculate hitting power,using DEFORM software tosimulate the ring upsetting,the friction coefficient in ring upsetting process is uncertain,sosetting different coefficient of friction.Getting the changing of rings inner and outerdiameter in different coefficient of friction,setting up the press force calibrationcurve.Analysis the different friction coefficients on the upsetting processload-stroke,within the diameter of the drum circle degree,equivalent strain and the metalflow velocity.3. The experimental of hitting power calibration.Do upsetting experimental calibration,comparative the actual date and simulated calibration curve.Determine the actual ring upsetting process of friction coefficient.Setting the friction coefficient into DEFORM forcalculation,getting a more accuratesize press force.Do several experiments, getting thecalibration factor between press force and voltage calibration.Setting calibration coefficientinto LabVIEW program,obtaining the press force of the waveforms by the signal convertedand output at the interface of the largest press force.
