Self-motion Assistanced Powered Support Equipment for Tunneling Machine is anew temporary support equipment which is use in the drivage face, it can ensure thecontinuous operation of the entry-driving machine, and bring into effect tunnelling andshoring at the same time. This paper is to research and design the hydraulic controlsystem of the auxiliary support equipment. First of all, Analyzing the Hydraulicprinciples and detailed drawing the hydraulic schematic of the entire equipmentaccording to its structure and working principle. Then calculating and determining thevarious key parameters according to the characteristics of the auxiliary supportequipment, also selecting and designing the various hydraulic components andestablishing the mathematical models of them and the whol hydraulic control system.After that, building the simulation model of the hydraulic control system by thehydraulic simulation software EASY5, and having the simulation analysis on the mainaction of the equipment, which included elevation and subsidencei of pillars, pushingand pulling equipment by advancing jacks. Through the simulation result, the hydrauliccontrol system of auxiliary support equipment which designed is proving reasonably andpracticably. Finally, Using the PLC technology to design and analysis the control systemof auxiliary support equipment, simplifying its operational control which is complicated,and also in the emergency of apical plate caving, it can take the special control methodsto let workers safety escape, and ensure the safety and reliability of the workspace thatunder auxiliary support equipment. The significance of this paper is researching andanalyzing hydraulic control system of this new type of the temporary support equipment,through its intelligent control can accelerate the rate of temporary support, and make itpossible that temporary support equipment which work on drivage face may becameautomatic and intelligent.
