This paper utilizes the technology of thermal spraying. Taking Mo powder, Fe powder andFeB powder as raw material, prepared Mo2FeB2ceramic coating on Q235steel substrate. On thisbasis, add CeO2powder.Added CeO2powder which has anti-attrition effect into that system,using the same preparation,prepared Mo2FeB2containing CeO2ceramic coating.Using X raydiffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and other equipment analyzed themorphology and composition of spraying powder and ceramic coating, and the coating thermalshock,compactness, microhardness, friction and wear properties were tested. Analyzed the effectof CeO2additionon the structure and properties of ceramic coating.The results show that: there are Mo2FeB2, Fe and Fe2O3in Mo2FeB2ceramic coating, thecoating is density, pore is less.the porosity of the coatings is19.14%, the bonding strengthbetween the substrate and the ceramic coating is16.05MPa,the thermal-shock times is40, themicrohardness is Hv0.17631363,the abrasive wear resistance and adhesive wear resistanceincreased50%and59%than those of the substrate, respectively;Mo2FeB2containing CeO2ceramic coatingis mainly composed of Mo2FeB2, Fe, MoFeO4and B2O3.Basically, coatingcompactness, thermal-shock resistance, bond strength, microhardness and wear resistance are thesame change law,with the content of CeO2increaseing,the properties was first increased andthen decreased.ceramic coating add3%CeO2is the best in the above performance,porosity isonly7.61%, thermal-shock times is up to60, bonding strength is19.80Mpa, microhardness isHv0.1879-1405, the abrasive wear resistance and adhesive wear resistance are1.7times and3.3410.44times than those of the caoting without CeO2, respectively.However, CeO2for coatingwear resistance and wear reduction effects are not synchronous,the coating added5%CeO2hasthe lowest friction coefficient isonly0.35,but theantiwear property is not good. Considering allperformance,the coating add3%CeO2is performance optimal.
