In our paper, two new compounds based on the building units of [PMo12O40]3-and [P2Mo5O23]6-polyoxoanions respectively, which are functionalized by varioustransition metals and organic amines, have been synthesized under hydrothermalcondition. In addition, we are very lucky to get a case of tantalum and copperbimetallic complex. We discussed the structures of these three compounds and thesynthetic conditions and rules. These three compounds were characterized by thesingle-crystal X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis. The IR spectra, TG analysis ofcompound1and2have been studied.1. Two novel3D supramolecules have been synthesized and structurallycharacterized:[Cu(dafo)3][Cu(dafo)2][PMo12O4]·4H2O1[Co(en)3]4[P2Mo5O23]2·8H2O2Two new extended3D supramolecular network structures have been successfullysynthesized using an in-situ synthesis method under hydrothermal condition.Although the starting materials were slightly changed for preparing compounds1and2, there existed a huge difference in the structures of compounds1and2. Incompound1, there are extensive hydrogen bonding interactions among the copperorganonitrogen complex units, the terminal oxygen atoms of the Keggin [PMo312O40]-polyoxoanions, the coordinated water molecules and the guest water molecules,extending the discrete molecules into a3D supramolecular framework. Compound2consists of a [P2Mo5O23]6- anions, two Co(en)3and five H2O molecules, which arelinked together through hydrogen-bonding interactions.2. A novel tantalum and copper bimetallic complexes has been successfullysynthesized under hydrothermal condition.(C12H8N2)2CuOTaF53In compound3, the copper ion is coordinated by two nitrogen atoms from two1,10-phenanthroline ligands, and one oxygen atom, while the tantalum ion is sixcoordinated by five fluorine atoms, and one oxygen atom. The oxygen atom bridgescopper ion and tantalum ion into dinuclear unit, and then the units are linked by thehydrogen bonds into a net structure.
