In this paper, fifteen new polyoxometalate compounds based on reduced molybdenum(V) phosphates clusters have been synthesized by utilizing transition metal ions and its organic chelating or bridging N-donor ligands complexes. All these compounds have been structurally characterized by elemental analyses, IR, XPS, XRPD, TG and single crystal X-ray diffractions. The thermal stabilities, magnetic properties and fluorescent activity of these compounds have been studied. The roles of these compounds under hydrothermal conditions and the factors influencing the structures of these compounds have also been studied.1.A new two-dimensional cobalt phosphomolybdate has been prepared by using [(MoO)Co(HO)(PO)(HPO)] wheel-shape clusters as building blocks and [Co(HO)] and [Co(HPO)] fragments as linkers:[Co(HO)][{Co(H2O)}{Co(HP0) }{(PO)(HPO)(MoO)Co(HO)}]-23HO 1.2.Eight new molybdenum(V) phosphates have been prepared by using [PMoO] clusters as building blocks and introducing chelating ligands. Transition complexes have been successfully incorporating the framework of molybdenum(V) phosphates through P-O-M (M = metal) mode:(Hdien)[Co(dien)][Co(dien)(HO)][CoMoO(HPO4) (HPO4) (PO)(OH)]·5HO2,(Hdien)[Co(dien)][Co(HO)][CoMoO(HPO)(PO)(OH)]·7HO 3, (HO)[Zn(2,2'-bpy)][Zn(HO)][Zn(HPO)(PO)(MoO)(OH)]·6HO 4, [Cd(2,2'-bpy)(HO)][Cd(2,2'-bpy)(HO)][Cd(HPO)(HPO)(MoO)(OH)]·3HO5,Co(phen)] [Co(phen)(HO)(HPO)] [KNa(HO)] [Co(HO)] [Co(phen)] [Co(HPO)( HPO)(PO)[(MoO)(OH)]]·5HO 6,[Zn(phen)][Zn(phen)(HO)][Zn(HPO)[(MoO)(OH)]]·HO 7, [Zn(phen)(HO)][Zn(phen)(HO)][Zn(HO)][Zn(HPO)(PO)(MoO)(OH)]·7HO8,[Cd4(phen)(HO)][Cd(phen)(HO)] [Cd(HPO)(HPO)(MoO)(OH)]·5HO 9 (dien= diethylenetriamine, 2,2'-bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine, phen = 1,10-phenanthroline).3.Six new molybdenum(V) phosphates have been prepared by using [PMoO] clusters as building blocks and introducing transition metal-4,4'-bpy complexes as bridging ligand:(Hbpy)[Co(bpy)(HO)][Co(HPO)(HPO)(MoO)(OH)]10, [Co(HO)][Co(Hbpy)(HO)][Co(bpy)][Co(HPO)(PO)(MoO)(OH)]·6HO11, Na[Zn(Hbpy)((HO))[Zn(Hbpy)][Zn(HPO)(PO)(MoO)(OH)]·4HO12,(H2bpy)[Cd(bpy)(HO)][Cd(bpy)(HO)][Cd(HPO)(PO)(MoO)(OH)]·2Ho13,[Cd3(4,4'-Hbpy)(4,4'-bpy)(HO)][Cd(HPO)(HPO)(PO)(MoO2) (OH)]·7HO14,(4,4'-Hbpy)[Cd(4,4'-bpy)(HO)][Cd(4,4'-bpy)(HO)][Cd(HPO)(HPO)(PO)(Mo O)(OH)]·HO 15 (4,4'-bpy = 4,4'-bpyridine).
