In this paper, using2,4-bis(4-methylbenzoyl)isophthalic acid and2,5-bis(4-methylbenzoyl)terephthalic acid as main ligands along with transition metal Zn, Cd, Mn and different auxiliary ligands, ten new coordination compounds have been prepared under hydrothermal condition. X-ray diffraction, IR spectrum, elemental analysis, luminescent properties, thermal stability of these compounds have been studied.1. Four new coordination compounds have been prepared with2,4-bis(4-methylbenzoyl)isophthalic acid (H2L1) and2,5-bis(4-methylbenzoyl)terephthalic acid (H2L2) by different auxiliary ligands and Zn.{[Zn3(L1)2.5(μ3-OH)(H2O)3]·4H2O}n(1)[Zn2(L1)1.5(μ3-OH)(4,4’-bpy)o.5]n(2){[Zn(L1)(bbi)]·2H2O}n(3)[Zn2(L2)2(bpp)]n(4)Compound1possesses a2D double-layer configuration with48·62network constructed with [Zn3(μ3-OH)(CO2)3O5] clusters and L1ligands, which extends into a3D architecture via O-H…O interactions between coordinated water molecules and lattice water molecules. Compound2is a uninodal8-connected3D framework with a424-64network based on tetranuclear zinc(Ⅱ) clusters as nodes. Compound3is a2D (4,4) grid. Compound4is1D structure which is constructed by double helical chains.2. Three new coordination compounds have been prepared with2,4-bis(4-methylbenzoyl)isophthalic acid (H2L1) and2,5-bis(4-methylbenzoyl)terephthalic acid (H2L2) by different auxiliary ligands and Cd.{[Cd(L2)(4,4’-bpy)]·H2O}n(5)[Cd(L1)(bbi)·H2O]n (6)[Cd(L1)(bpp)·H2O]n (7)Compound5is a2D layer structure and topology analysis reveals48-62network. Compound6is a three interpenetrating structure which four connected to the diamond structure, topological symbol is66. Compound7is coordination polymer of2D layer structure coordination polymer. 3. Three new coordination compounds have been prepared with2,4-bis(4-methylbenzoyl)isophthalic acid (H2L2) by different auxiliary ligands and Mn.{[Mn(L2)(4,4’-bpy)]-H2O}n (8)[Mn(L2)(2,2’-bpy)·H2O]n (9)[Mn(L2)(2,2’-bpy)2·H2O]n (10)Compound8and compound5are isomorphic. Compounds9and10are two supramolecular compounds with sixteen-atom ring.
