In recent years, heavy metals pollution in the lake has aroused great concern. A lot of work has been done by domestic and foreign scholars on the study of heavy metals in the lake. However, most are for the lake water, the lake (ice-water-sediment) multi-medium environment research is still rare. The cold and arid regions Wuliangsuhai lake was chosen as the target, with a combination of methods of field monitoring and laboratory simulation test to study the distribution and migration and transformation of heavy metals in multi-medium environment during the icebound season in Wuliangsuhai lake. The results are shown below:1. The icebound season in Wuliangsuhai Lake, distribution of heavy metals in ice and in water has the following characteristics:The heavy metals trend of the ice:Surface and bottom layer contents are high, the middle layer contents low; Under the ice covering, heavy metals content at the bottom of the water is slightly larger than the surface; Cu, Zn, Pb and Cd elements content in the ice and the under ice covering water are similar, and Cr, Hg and As elements content in ice and in water body are different.2. The potential ecological risk evaluation of the total heavy metals in surface sediments and various forms of pollution evaluation show that:The potential ecological risk parameter of Hg in the lake sediment is at the high level. The ecological risk composite index RI is294.60, which is at the intermediate level of the potential ecological risk, but close to the high level. Except the residue B4among the various speciations, the RI value of the other three heavy metal patterns was122.34, which is at the low level of potential ecological risk. The heavy metal of Hg with the highest level of pollution must be highlighted.3. Study on laboratory simulation experiment of heavy metals in the ice, initially identified the heavy metals distribution and the melting law under a different concentration and different pH conditions, the results show that:Values of laboratory simulation experiment and field measured on the vertical distribution have the same trend in general, so we can approximately get the vertical distribution of heavy metals in icebound season by the indoor simulated result; and predict the heavy metals content under different pH conditions in icebound season.
