Iminodibenzyl(IDB) and its derivatives have high physiological activity. As important pharmaceutical intermediates, they were widely used in synthesis of carbamazepine and oxcarbazepine. The main raw material of iminodibenzyl synthesis is2,2-diaminobenzyl(DDB). In many of the synthesis methods, catalytic gas-phase deamination of2,2-diaminodibenyzl is promising way because of advantages such as high product quality, simplicity of process, less strict on equipment requirement.Based on thermodynamics analysis, macro-kinetic of2,2-diaminodibenzyl deamination was investigated. Kinetic experiments were ran under different temperature(340℃,360℃,380℃,400℃) and space velocity. Reaction results indicated that the by-products were negligible and a plausible reaction network was obtained. According to reaction network both kinetic model based on Langmuir-Hinshelwood mechanism and power law model were worked out. Through optimization method kinetic parameters were calculated. Meanwhile, the model suitability was finely checked through statistical test. Result suggested that power law model was slightly better than Langmuir-Hinshelwood model. Finally, the catalyst deactivation mechanism was investigated through characterization method including XRD,TG and BET.
