Acrylic emulsion is designed in particle structure in the experiments, the film ofthe emulsion is according with requirements basically in the room temperature. A lotof emulsion polymerization experiments by polymerizable surfactants are conducted,comparing with best emulsion system, finally using acrylic emulsion as insulationfiller and researching it preliminary, comparing the heat insulation effects in differentformulations.1. Acrylic emulsion is synthesized which is butyl acrylic as nuclear, styrene,methyl methacrylate and butyl acrylic as shell by the semi-continuous seededemulsion polymerization methods. The particles are displayed with core-shellstructures clearly through the DSC and TEM test, and the structure of the part isaccording with the fact design. The factors of the core-shell ratio, the types and thedosage of emulsifier, the stability time of seed emulsion, the dosage of cross-linkingagent and the soaking time of emulsion is researched on the performance of theemulsion, the synthetic process is optimized.2. Stable acrylic emulsion is synthesized through a lot of experiments whichinclude traditional emulsifier and polymerizable surfactants, polymerizablesurfactants in itself by the semi-continuous emulsion polymerization methods.Chemical stability is improved greatly by the traditional emulsifier andpolymerizable surfactants COPS-2. Water resistance of film former havedramatically improved and the chemical stability is pretty with no gel bypolymerizable surfactants DNS-86and COPS-2. And through the DSC and TEM test,small "particle" aren’t formed in the water dispersed phase by the polymerizablesurfactants. 3. Choosing homemade emulsion as emulsion binder, hollow glass beads andmica powder with good insulation effects, the compound thermal insulating coatingis prepared. Heat conductivity and elongation at break of the prepared coating istested. Heat insulation and mechanical performance of the coating materials gotcomprehensive evaluation, finding that joining the hollow glass beads will reducesignificantly, but at the same time will reduce the elongation at break of the coating,joining the proper amount of mica powder coating will reduce the thermalconductivity of the coating, the thermal insulation coating formula is optimized.
