Research For Elastic Exterior Paint With Stain Resistance

In this paper, an exterior elastic paint who has a good stain resistance was prepared, and its performances was studied.Methylmethacrylate, butacrylate, and acrylic acid were selected for monomer. And a compound emulsifier was selected. An elastic paint that has a special core-shell structure was prepared, according to optimal proportion and feeding sequence. The factors affecting emulsion polymerization were discussed. The optimal proportion of monomer, feeding sequence, feeding method, and polymerization temperature were determined by orthogonal experiments. The film of this emulsion has a good elasticity and a good stain resistance.The design of prescription for elastic paint is determining the quantity and proportion of emulsion, pigments and auxiliaries. After the pigment-aggregate-proportion was determined, an optimal paint prescription was decided by orthogonal experiments.
