The grinding operation is a process which first broke mineral to millimeter level,then grind to micron level,finally micro-fine grind to nano level.It consumes a largenumber of energy,and the energy efficiency of equipments used in grinding operationis low, for a example, the ball mill’s energy efficiency is lower than10percentage. Therefore it has the profound significance to the social economydevelopment to reduce the energy and metal consumption during the grindingoperation. The key point that to cut down the energy consumption during the grindingprocess is to improve the grinding efficiency. The application of pressurecomminution in the material bed technology and in the grinding operation as well asthe more crushing less grinding principle is used in the grinding process which lowersthe powder consumption obviously, and improves the efficiency of grinding.Therefore,how to application of these advanced powders grinding theory properlyduring the development of new crush equipments become a sticking point whether theequipment success or failure.The floating roll mill is one of mining equipments which grind and crushmaterials by roll,impact,shear,etc.It can be used for140to720μm powderproducts preparation.The pressure comminution in the material bed theory and morecrushing less grinding principle are successfully reflected in the floating roll mill,andat the same time the mill crush the material flexibility.The structure design of floatingroll mill successfully resolved problems of the series of roller mill’s roller unevenwear,the roller is stuck by material easily,and the vibration of roller mill which affectthe mill’s operation rate.The products processed by floating roll mill show a normal distribution ofparticle size differential and the sharp peak shape after the machine test andimprovements.In the case of limestone as raw material,through research the factorsaffecting the performance of mill we obtain the optimum mill feed size,feed rate,,spindle speed which are separately30mm,18t/,187r/min.Of course,the processingof these parameters need to adjust the physical properties of material in order toobtain the best value for money.The results of floating roll mill using in the machinemadding sand line shows that the single mill’s average yield remained at20t/h and thewear parts’ wear is4.8g/t....
