This paper was divided into two parts,the first part is the production oforganic silane modified acrylic aqueous dispersions,the second part is theperformance of water-borne silane modified acrylic polyurethane varnish andpaint.The specific work are as follows:(1) The organic silane modified acrylic aqueous dispersions weresynthesized.The acrylic resins were composed after adding the monomer dropwisefirst to the solvent,and then the aqueous dispersions were produced by addingorganic amine.Effects of kinds,inclusion methods and content of organicsilane,acrylic acid content,neutralizer and neutralization degree,solvent,addingwater way,dispersion equipment on the particle size,viscosity,Zeta potential andthermal stability are researched.It is proved that aqueous dispersion showes goodproperty while AC-76with large steric effect is used,organic silane is introducedduring advanced reaction and its content reaches to5%,the acrylic acid content is6.1%, the neutralizer is DMEA,neutralization degree is90%~100%,the solvent isPnB,water is poured into resin only once,and disc dispersing machine is put touse.The silane was proved to graft to acrylic resin chain by FTIR.(2) The dosage of the acrylic acid,hydroxyl monomer content and thedifferent glass transition temperature in the influence of silane modified acrylicpolyurethane coating performance were investigated,and the results show that thecoating with good performance can be produced with the conditions of the acrylicacid content of6.1%total monomer, hydroxyl monomer content of3.48%totalmonomer and glass transition temperature of16.6~26.4℃.Moreover,it is foundthat the silane modified acrylic polyurethane coatings can improve the coating’sgloss,corrosion resistance,water absorption and increase water contact angle,heatresistance,adhesion,mechanical properties,aging resistance and stainresistance.Finally,the two-component acrylic polyurethane paint and silanemodified acrylic polyurethane paint were prepared by mixing the aqueousdispersions, isocyanate and the pigments.And the pigment mass concentration oncoating’s wear resistance and corrosion resistance were discussed.The criticalpigment mass concentration of the pure acrylic polyurethane paint is40%,whilethe critical pigment mass concentration of silane modified acrylic polyurethane paint reaches to60%.The latter increases nearly20percent compared to that of theformer.It can be concluded that organic silane can effectively increase the wettingproperties and carrying capacities of the pigment.
