Denim garment attract people from all over the world because of its old-look appearance. There is a number of steps for finishing of denim fabric, eg. desizing and washing are themost important steps in the industry of denim garment processing. Chemical methods wouldnot only bring pollution to environment, but also hurt the denim. Now, biological methodsare adopted for desizing and washing instead of chemical methods. However, the two steps ofdesizing and washing are separated due to the current technology. If we can finishi it in onestep, production efficiency would be improved greatly, and the production cost would bereduced enormously. Therefor, it is very important to study one-step process for enzymaticdesizing and biowashing of denim garment. In this paper, the activity of cellulose, amylase and laccase is studied. The optimaltechnological condition is studied by single factor analysis. The effects of different ions onenzyme activity are discussed. The best condition of one-step process for enzymatic desizingand biowashing of denim garment is also researched in this paper. And the finishing effect oftreatment studied in this paper is compared with other two methods which are studied byother researcher. On the basis of experiment, the optimal conditions of cellulose, amylase and laccase areobtained as following, cellusase: temperature45℃-65℃, pH value6, concentration4g/L;amylase: temperature85℃, pH value6, concentration2g/L; laccase: pH value5,concentration4g/L. A certain concentration of metal ion can improve the activity of cellulose, amylase and laccase. Effect of anionic on enzyme can not be ignored if we activate fermentby adding metal ion. The optimal condition of one-step process for enzymatic desizing andbiowashing of denim garment is obtained: temperature80℃, pH value6, treatment time100min, concentration of cellulase3g/L, concentration of amylase4g/L, concentration oflaccase1g/L, JFC1g/L. The finishing method studied in this paper has the best desizing andwash-out efficiency. And the problem of backstaining is solved to some extent.
