Relying on the electronegativity and the empty3d orbitals of Si atoms in the main chain, polysilane forms a σ-conjugated system which is similar to the π-electron conjugated system. Therefore, it’s very important to do researches in the field of electrical conductivity and other facts of polysilane. However, now the researches of the conductive polymer materials mainly concentrated in the carbonaceous polymer materials. To combine polysilanes with carbon nanotubes and do experimental researches will fill the blank of this novel kind of conductive materials research field of our countryThis paper involves the basic research of the synthesis of polysilanes which are chlorinated to combine with carbon nanotubes to form the new materials polysilane-carbon nanotubes. This paper synthesized12kinds of polysilanes through Wutrz method containing4homopolysilanes,6dicopolysilanes and2tricopolysilanes. It also investigated the influences of auxilliary additives, reaction time, monomer ratio on the yield and molar mass distribution of these products. The results showed that while toluene used as a solvent,10%volume ratio ethylene glycol dimethyl ether used as auxilliary additive, the yield of the polymethylphenylsilane is inhanced to42.37%after reactioning for3hours, and the D which is abbreviated for distribution is decreased while a slight decrease in the molecular weight. This paper also synthesized polymethylphenylsilane with ultrasonic synthesis method. The experiments show that though declines the molecular weight, ultrasound sy nthesis emethod can narrow molecular weight distribution.This paper uses acetylchloride to replace the phenyl connected to the silicon atoms on the main chain of polymethylphenylsilane catalyzied by aluminum chloride. Next, this paper combined the chlorinated polysilane with carbon nanotubes to produce polysilane-carbonnanotubes. The electric conductivity of the polysilane-carbon nanotube complexes changes as expected. This result lays a foundation for futher study.This paper also uses hydrogen-chloride to replace the phenyl in the polymethyl-phenylsilane. And combined the chlorinated polysilane with carbon nanotubes to produce polysilanecarbonnanotube complexes. The result of the electric conductivity test shows that the electric conductivity of the polysilanecarbon-nanotube complexes changes as expected.In the end, this paper uses polymethylphenylsilane with chloride atom in the bitter end to combine with carbon nanotubes to produce polysilane-carbon-nanotube complexes. The result of the electric conductivity test shows that the electric conductivity of the polysilane-carbonnanotube complexes changes as expected.
