Screw drilling rig is one of the important equipment of drilling engineering. Motorunit assemblage is a core part of screw drilling rig. Drive shaft assembly is a link throughwhich screw drilling rig realizes drilling operation. The cross section sizes of the joint ofstator housing of screw drilling rig and the tool recess of small shaft of drive shaft changegreatly, leading to stress concentration phenomenon inevitably. And in the drilling process,most of them are in cyclic load work. So it is vulnerable to damage. Therefore, more andmore the researchers pay attention to the characteristics of screw drilling rig at home andabroad.In order to study the static characteristic and dynamic characteristic of screw drillingrig. Put up finite element calculation model of stator housing and drive shaft of the, and dostatic and fatigue analysis respectively at the highest load conditions, by using finiteelement analysis software. First of all, analysis different types of stator housing in torsionand axial force on static analysis. Get the static stress curve, and determine the influence oftype of stator tube to improve the structure of stator housing on the purpose of reducing thestress concentration and enhancing the strength. The second, compare drive shaft of Wcompany with the one improved, to improve the structure of rive shaft on the purpose ofreducing the stress and enhancing the stiffness. Finally, do fatigue analysis on the basis ofstatic analysis, for different materials, different load frequency, different surface roughness,with many fatigue theory, like Miner theory, the rain flow count, multiple spindle andsingle shaft stress analysis. Find out the influence factors of stator housing and drive shaft,so as to optimize them.Through the comparison, it is concluded that, in the design of tool recess, besidesusing the strength higher material, it is important to minimize the variations of tool recesssize. Under the reasonable condition, increase radius of chamfering as far as possible tomake the transition of tool recess section size smoothly. In addition, because the biggeststress most appears in the thread roots, so it still needs to strengthen the strength of thethread roots. For drive shaft, increase diameter of the small part properly with the structureallowed to guarantee the stiffness of drive shaft, in addition to chose an appropriate toolrecess. And improve the surface roughness. Choose load with smaller frequency ifefficiency allowed.
