There is abundant energy in our country, total resources are advanced in theworld. How ever because of China’s big population base causes the per capitaresources is very low, coal, oil and natural gas reserves per capita is lower than theworld average level. Vegetable oil, fuel oil rely on lots of imports every year. With theconstantly increasing energy consumption and serious environmental problems,scientists are constantly developing clean and renewable energy. In recent years, newenergy development and utilization of biomass energy, the traditional agriculturalby-products for processing into energy, not only alleviates the shortage of energysources, and at the same time, it improves the environment.Rice bran is the by product of white rice, it is brown rice the roll of the kind ofskin and rice embryo and broken rice mixture which is a kind of important biomassresource. It is rich in abundant oil, protein, moisture, tocopherol, oryzanol, ceramide,birth three olefinic phenol, lipopolysaccharide and many kinds of natural antioxidant,promote metabolism, anti-aging and active substances. Our country is big in riceproduction, the annual rice bran output reached10million tons, and more than90%ofthe rice bran didn’t get processing using. The refining of rice bran oil is a kind ofnutritious vegetable oil that can be applied to food, medicine and other industries; byesterification and trans-esterification process preparation, it transfers methyl esters offatty acids, fatty acid ethyl ester compounds, which is a kind of combustionperformance good fuel oil in the combustion process, easy degradation, as it does notproduce sulfide and aromatic substance, it is named " bio diesel ".As surfactant has amphipathicity, it widely used in industrial cleaning, metalprocessing, oil, chemicals, cosmetics, food, drug formula, etc. Polyethylene glycolfatty acid ester is a kind of typical non-ionic surface active agent with highemulsification, thickening effect, increases the solubility and others. Its commonpreparation methods is one step esterification method: the molecular weight of poly(ethylene glycol) for200-20000, and fatty acid can be oleic acid, lauric acid, etc.In this paper, we used low acid value of rice bran as raw material, isopropyl alcohol and petroleum ether, methanol, cyclohexane, cyclohexane/methanol asextraction solvent, and then we used rice bran oil and polyethylene glycol (PEG) asraw material to prepare polyethylene glycol fatty acid ester, the experiment conditionand product performance were investigated.First, we used the agricultural by-products rice bran as raw material in thesecond chapter investigated conditions of the rice bran acid value, rice bran crushingdegree, extraction solvent, pH value. The experimental results for:50g low acid valuerice bran as raw material, the crushing of rice bran for forty mesh, pH environment for6, cyclohexane as extraction solvent and anhydrous methanol (139/81mL), oilextraction time3.5h, reflow at60℃, oil extraction rate can reach to18.46%, oil acidvalue is24.38mgKOH/g.Then, we used polyethylene glycol600/1000and pure oleic acid to preparepolyethylene glycol oleate in the third chapter, and inspected experimental conditionsof the alcohol oil molar ratio, catalyst dosage, reaction temperature. The experimentalresults for:1. PEG600and pure oleic acid: reaction molar ratio of PEG600: OA is1:1;the quanlity of the best esterification catalyst for p-toluene sulfonic acid is0.4%of themass of reactants, reaction temperature is at120℃, the acid value of product is2.9mgKOH/g, esterification rate is98.67%.2. PEG1000and pure oleic acid: reactionmolar ratio of PEG1000: OA is1:1; the quanlity of the best esterification catalyst forp-toluene sulfonic acid is0.5%of the mass of reactants, reaction temperature is at120℃, the acid value of the product is3.7mgKOH/g, esterification rate is98.30%. Basedon the emulsion force and wetting force measurement of polyethylene glycol (PEG)600oleate and polyethylene glycol (PEG)1000oleate, polyethylene glycol (PEG)600oleate performance is better. So we choose polyethylene glycol (PEG)600andmatching oil to explore the experiment condition, experimental results for: PEG600and matching ratio of oil, the oil is mixed with low acid value of salad oil (3.0mgKOH/g) and oleic acid (217.4mgKOH/g). Through the deployment, make fat acidvalue is50mgKOH/g. In this lab, we select analysis pure PEG600and matching oilas reactants, the optimal condition reaction conditions are as follows: reaction molarratio of PEG600: OA is1:1; the quanlity of the best esterification catalyst for p-toluene sulfonic acid is0.4%of the mass of reactants; reaction temperature is at120℃, the acid value of product is1.6mgKOH/g, esterification rate reaches to96.83%.Finally, in the above two chapters, we choose pure PEG600and rice bran oil asraw materials in the fourth chapter, the optimum reaction conditions for: alcohol oilmole ratio of reactant is1:1, the dosage of p-toluene sulfonic acid is0.4%of thereactant quality, reaction temperature is120℃, reaction time is4.5h. At this point,the acid value of product is2.3mgKOH/g, esterification rate is up to95.33%. Andsurfactant performance of the obtained product is excellent.
