As we all know, the automotive industry is one of the largest market forthe metal forming industry. Because the stamping process has high productionefficiency, good size consistency, and low raw material consumption, manystructural parts on the cars are manufactured by stamping process. Today rapiddevelopment of automobile industry in our country, it’s for the stampingindustry has brought a vigorous development period. Automotive stampingparts production using a large number of cold stamping process to meet themulti-species and mass production needs. In the medium and heavy duty truck,most of the covering parts such as automobile body outer panel, some bearingand supporting pieces such as frame, car and other car parts are automotivestamping parts. Due to the different punching part shape, size, accuracyrequirements, batch size, raw material properties, the stamping method isvaried. Stamping process can be divided into four basic processes namely,blanking, bending, deep drawing, local deformation. Complex stampingforming, the deformation of sheet metal area is often a complex combination ofseveral basic process.The sheet blank, bar, pipe and profile curved into a certain curvature,angle and shape is called bending. Bending technology in automobile bodymanufacturing application is very wide, such as composition of bus body framevarious shapes beam is to use the profile bending forming. Bending isessentially the process of elastic-plastic deformation process of sheet metal.When bending, therefore, in addition to considering the change of metal in theshape of plastic deformation, but also must pay attention to with the presence ofelastic deformation. When plus bending to be lifted, elastic deformationdisappear immediately, it will eliminate part of bending deformation effect and make the shape and volume change of the object, the bending parts of allshapes and sizes and loads in the opposite direction from the deformation of thechanges in. So, after bending Angle and radius of parts is not exactly the sameas that of die geometry, making the geometry precision of bending parts bycertain damage, this phenomenon is called springback phenomenon. Bendinginevitably accompanied springback, springback reduces the dimensionalaccuracy of parts and not conducive to subsequent assembly welding,increasing the workload of the Straightening. Along with the development ofthe direction of automotive lightweight, high strength steel plate and aluminumalloy, more and more applied to the car, however, the performance of thesematerials and ordinary low carbon steel compared have very big difference,lead to stamping by the two types of material of automobile stamping reboundquantity is greater than the use of ordinary low carbon steel plate stampingparts, the springback problem become more prominent. For forming, theboundary conditions and geometrical shape is relatively simple, relativelyeasier for springback research. U shaped pieces, for example, through thebending springback numerical simulation to guide the production, to improvethe forming precision of the stamping parts, it is of practical significance forreducing manufacturing costs, etc.Based on the scientific frontier and interdisciplinary innovation project, isa basic research project of Ji Lin University, major in automotive coveringparts forming quality improvement. This article main research content is asfollows:(1) In typical u-shaped bends as the research object, by using sheet metalstamping simulation software Dynaform on its forming process numericalsimulation,mainly discuss the influence material properties, the relative radiusand the mold gap for u-shaped bending springback amount. For cold rolled steel sheet and aluminum alloy plate bending springback amount providesnumerical on help.(2) DYNAORM of sheet metal forming simulation software of a car on atypical u-shaped part stamping forming process was simulated. Study theimpact of the punch and die clearance, friction coefficient and other factors onshaping effects.
