With the deeply understanding of ozone, the strong oxidation and sterilization function of ozone is widely used in many fields of production and life. It has a very broad prospect for development. In recent years, the core of ozone generating device, discharge reactor and power supply, has been regarded as the focus of the study. So ozone of generator power and production has been greatly improved. While the problems of low level of automation equipment, high operating costs and the lack of effective online monitoring means are gradually emerging. Now production of ozone is no longer the sole criterion to judge the good and bad of ozone generating device. Improving intelligent and reliability of equipment operation is becoming the new focus of concern of manufacturers and users.In order to effectively improve reliability of the device, reduce the harm caused by the failure and enhance automation level of ozone production, fault diagnosis technology of the DBD ozone generating device is researched in the paper. A control system with diagnostic capabilities is developed based on existing device. The main contents are as follows:(1) The study on the different methods of fault diagnosis in order to provide a theoretical is deeply researched based on ozone generating device. On the basis of study on working me-chanism and process, the thesis analysis different failure mechanism of the ozone generator such as excitation power, DBD discharge reactor, the gas system and cooling system. Then it finishes the fault classification.(2) The change of device operating state corresponding to the change of parameter is on study. The changes of power could reflect the running status of the device, but the online me-asurement is not easy to achieve. The author proposes a new diagnosis method of using curr-ent monitoring instead of power monitoring. It is simple and feasible. Based on the study of working mechanism, the device produces large amounts of heat, and it has high humidity re-quirements of the raw material gas. So the paper select both temperature and humidity as oth-er monitoring parameter when the device is normal operation. The system chose11monitor-ing points. Then it proposes design a fault diagnosis system of the ozone generating device.(3) The seven-channel temperature acquisition circuits, one-channel temperature and hu-midity acquisition, and four-current acquisition circuits based on failure mechanism analysis and classification are designed. According to the microcontroller ACD pin features designed signal conditioning circuitry. The main controller uses eight-bit low-power CMOS microprocessor ATmegal28, then system design software to achieve the required information such as data collection, storage, processing and diagnostics. The operating mechanism cut off the fault circuit, and fault information is displayed through LCD.Experimental results show that the above method can effectively identify fault and control device when ozone generating device is broken. The system can achieve condition moni-toring and fault diagnosis of the ozone generating device.
