In this thesis H2product process of Linde Gas, Shanghai Coking&Chemical Corporation&JV(Joint Venture) Hualin Gas were introduced. According to production data, and then the plant performance and reliability were compared and analysed. Outstanding the every plant character, such as:Linde SMR plant, Linde MC plant, SGSU plant of Shanghai Coking&Chemical Corporation and SGSU plant of Hualin Corporation, via the data analysis, comparing the economical efficiency(thermal efficieny, price, energy consumption), plant capacity, feed supply, terminal client, process simulation, process operation(parameter control, stability, reliability) and etc. The study using Unisim tool data of every type plant were simualted and the gap between real production and design data were found out. After simulating key parameter, improment proposal was summarized and pointed out. What’s more, comparing key parameter, taking out process advantage, limit&neck, the feasible plan with considering real local situation was draw up. Beyond the foundation basic data, as to different characteristic of H2product process, it further came to agreement of what kind of process was best economical and best suitable way of the company themselves.In SMR process natural gas is as the feed, reform reacted with steam, and finally gained hydrogen product. SMR process was the most economic process with the price consumption of1.17RMB/Nm3. Today the natural gas pipe web is already mature, SMR also promised a most popular H2product unit. But the quantity of key parameters and control loop points were large and the process easy to met with wide condition and fluctuation. The capacity scope was suitable from small to large and the client also wide from small clients:medical, electron, middle clients: petrochemical, metallurgy, chemical, glass and photovoltaic to big clients:refinery, chemical fertilizer and fine chemicals of resin. In MC process methanol is as the feed, reform reacted with steam or crack reacted itself. MC process had reasonable economic with the price consumption of2.14RMB/Nm3less than that of water electrolysis process3.30RMB/Nm3. In some city such as: Xiamen&Hongkong, if using import methanol from Australia, the real cost saving could below1.518RMB/Nm3. What’s more, process operation was easy and direct. The capacity of MC process was middle. In petrochemical, metallurgy, chemical, medical and electron, MC process was already widely applicated, now in glass&photovlotaice MC process also began to be adopted. SGSU process had the most potential to improve, the price consumption just a little higher than SMR. If using ammonia, nitrogen and sulfides as sub-product, the consumption saving will be further reduced. In some old gasification plants, these already came true. What’s more, during daily operation, the process was stable and easy to control. The capacity of SGSU was always very big with a narrow matched industry. Hven so, the feed coal of SGSU was special, only one or two coal type can be used, what’s more, every SGSU plant must need the approval of government.
