There are so many opinions about from where our dress and personal adornment stemmed, but whether it is the "theory of shame"," theory of protection ", or theory of decorative,they can not be apart from our body. We are born to dress, which is undoubted. Clothing has different styles and meanings in different stages during the social progress. And since the20th century, it became a kind of fashion for the reason of our pursuing beauty and the forming of aesthetic consciousness. In such a clothing process that generated from clothing to clothing become a fashion, the feminine body was neglected, shielded, restricted and then was emancipated and pursued, which is a process of improvement. The emancipation of feminine body has awaked women’s body consciousness, it’s the beginning of sense of style.Paul Poiret is a vanward fashion designer who opened the age of vogue in the early twentieth century through her physically reform for women’s dress. She firstly got rid of corselet fettering female freedom, establishing the new image of women in a fashionable way. This paper will start with the dress revolution caused by Paul Poiret’s design, and focus on her body sense. We’ll clear up and analyse her design style so as to study female body in the view of clothing design and aesthetics. Meanwhile, we are going to, combined with the reconstruction of the female body under the influence of feminism, explore how the female body to be liberated, achieve freedom and aesthetic appreciation. Then we can study the clothing area from the perspective of body, and try to reveal the aesthetics value and connotation of body. In sum, the final purpose of this paper is to achieve a more fundamental aesthetics research about human’s body.
