China is a big country of textile, along with the development of textile industry, dyestuffindustry is developing rapidly. In textile industry, dyeing wastewater pollution problems havebecome more and more serious, and the treatments are more difficult. There are many types ofsynthetic dyestuffs in dyeing wastewater, which havecomplexstructure, stable property, thus, they hard degraded by itself. General physical and chemical treatment methods can not beeffectively to decolorize the dyestuff wastewater; therefore the treatment of dye wastewatermainly is focused on the decolorization.Adsorbent used indegradation of dyeing wastewater is an efficient, economical, environmentally friendly method. the sources of the crop or agricultural waste are widely, rich, and low-cost, those raw materials utilized as adsorbent is an effective way in reusing thewaste products.Ramie stalk is the residual by-products with extraction of ramie fiber.China is the world’slargest country planting ramie, peaked at4000000mu, accounting for more than90%of theworld production of ramie. However, China’s ramie industry is mainly use of ramie bastprocessed into ramie yarn, about2880000tons of ramie stalk discarded in the field.Ramie stalk is porous natural material, has excellent adsorption performance than othernatural biomass, ramie stalk through cationic modification can act as a new adsorptionmaterial, improve the adsorption rate on dyeing wastewater, to reduce the pressure ofsubsequent processing on dyeing wastewater and reduce processing costs, not only has thegood economic efficiency, and achieve ramie stalk resource utilization, and have muchenvironmental significance. We using natural ramie stalk as adsorbent, cationic modification of ramie stalk, usegeneral ramie stalk and modified ramie stalk adsorb different concentration dyestuffwastewater, different dosage of adsorbent, different pH, different temperature, differentfactors of adsorption time, different adsorption method in dye wastewater to do a preliminarystudy. The results are as follows: The cationic ramie stalk adsorption capacity of reactivebrilliant red X-3B aqueous solution improved significantly. cationic ramie stalk optimumconditions of adsorption of reactive brilliant red X-3B dye (50mL) is cationic ramie stalkusage for1.0g, adsorption time is45min, the dye concentration is0.5g/L, the temperature ofthe aqueous solution is40oC, the aqueous solution pH is9.0; the adsorption rate is99%ormore. The Anionic ramie stalk adsorption capacity of methylene blue dye adsorption capacityhas been greatly improved. Anionic ramie stalk of optimum conditions for the adsorption ofmethylene blue (50mL) of Anionic ramie stalk usage for1.0g, adsorption time is45min, theconcentration of methylene blue dye is0.5g/L, the solution temperature is60℃, the aqueoussolution pH is7.0; The adsorption rate is95%or more. In the Comparative experiment study of static adsorption and dynamic adsorption The results shows that, compare with the staticadsorption, the dynamic adsorption is lower than the static adsorption, but also can achieve ahigh absorption rate, indicating that the modified ramie stalk have good applications prospectsuseful in industrial.
