Polyurethane coating with low temperature flexibility, elasticity and good compressive strength and other advantages, is applied widely in many fields.Tourmaline mineral materials with special properties, such as permanent spontaneous polarization effect, it is paid great attention to all countries in the world in recent years. The purpose of this paper is through a series of experiments, discuss the electrical anti-fouling effect that tourmaline and its composite powder is added to the polyurethane coating, in order to get excellent anti-fouling coating.By blending method, first preparate the MDI type polyurethane pre-polymers, then add tourmaline and TiO2, carbon nanotubes composite powder to preparate the tourmaline/polyurethane (pu) composite coating. Characterize and analyze about the structure, the surface morphology, the mechanical properties, the biological adhesion properties of tourmaline and composite powder composite coating before and after soaked in the sea water.The results show that adding tourmaline powders to the coating, the micro phase separation degree of coating rises, the glass transition temperature reduces, flexible. Adding only the tourmaline powder in xinjiang, the surface roughness increases, and add the tourmaline and TiO2composite powder, tourmaline and carbon nanotubes composite powder, the surface roughness of coating decreases,so is the tensile strength.Adding tourmaline and TiO2composite powder can make coating elongation increase.Adding TiO2, tourmaline and carbon nanotubes composite powder, the tensile strength of the coating decreases, elongation increases.Coatings after soaked in the seawater for7days, N-H stretching vibration of peak in the peak position of coating move to higher wavenumber, the glass transition temperature has a certain degree of decline, the surface of the coating is relatively smooth, the tensile strength of coating reduces.Tourmaline made in Xinjiang, its anion release rate is very high, it reduces bacterial adhesion.Adding tourmaline and TiO2composite powder, tourmaline and carbon nanotubes composite powder to preparate the coating,the negative ion release rate of it decreases, so is Bacteria restraint.
