Many countries in the world have developed a lot of new ironmaking methods, but blast furnace ironmaking still has the dominant position. As the main reducing agent, coke is always the focus of reserchers. Degradation of coke in the blast furnace is mainly due to carbon dioxide etching that causes carbon solution loss reaction. Researching the catalytic mechanism of coke and carbon dioxide solution loss reaction in the blast furnace has important theoretical and practical significance to improve the coke quality, smelting and coal ratio. The factors that affecting coke solution loss reaction includes the coke pores, the microcrystalline structure of pore wall, the content of inorganic impurities and mineral composition, etc. The study of minerals is mainly about alkali metals and their oxides, but for the transition metals and their oxides, especially the influence of iron oxide on coke reactivity is very limited. This dissertation studies the influence of iron oxide on coke solution loss reaction from the reaction kinetics, the reactivity of coke, the type of load, and also analyzes the coke microstructure, the distribution and existence state of iron minerals. The results show that iron oxide make the starting reaction temperature and the violent reaction temperature advance, lower activation energy, the reaction order from1.53down to0, the reaction order does not change with iron oxide adsorption capacity; iron oxide has a positive catalytic effect on coke solution loss reaction, the reactivity of coke strengthens with the increase of the iron oxide concentration, carbon dioxide flow and the reaction time; the absorbed iron oxide has more effect on coke reactivity than added iron oxide.
