In this paper,2Kg experimental coke oven was the main research object, through the fiddle and top mounted two process with single coking coke and coal biending coke based on xinjiang coking coal and the other place of coking coal, determining ash composition and the thermal properties of coke, studying on the effect of alkaline catalytic index(MCI) for reactivity and strength after reaction. The experiment of single cking coal results show that, through selecting the similar coal quality and doing contrast experiment, the thermal property of xinjiang coke is poor, the content of xinjiang ash composition is abnormal and alkaline catalytic index(MCI) is higher, found by comparing experiment that the alkali metal content of xinjiang coal is generally higher, the content of K2 O is more than 1%,and the content of alkaline earth especially Ca O is more than 8%,some types of content as higher as 27%,the content of MgO is 1%~4%,the content of Fe2O3 is 5%~10%,the content of above are higherthan the average content of coking coal in China. The experiment of coal blending coking show that MCI higher coke quality is pooe, each 1 percentage point of MCI increase the reactivity improve 3~4 percentage points, the strength of reaction decrease 4~5 percentage, the basic catalytic index is higher so that reactivity is higher, the basic catalytic index correlated with reaction positive and negatively correlated to the strength after reaction. Through linear regression equation can be obtained as follows: CRI=14.54+3.21 MCI, CSR=80.37-4.61 MCI.MCI has no relevance to cold strength. Two kinds of coking process showed that most of tamping coking process can improve the quality of coke,,with low catalytic index of coal blending, the better the quality of cosl blending scheme of coke MCI lower.
