HSM(high speed machining) is a new technology technique, which is used more and more widely in aerospace industry, mould industry, electron industry, motorcar industry, and has got very big economic benefits. HSM is the important part of advanced manufacture technology and a profound technology revolution to manufacture, which will bring very important and far-reaching influence to manufacture industry.Based on the analysis and research of high-speed machining tool systems at home and abroad, the security of HSK tool system are analyzed systemically. These relevant measures are put forward in this paper. The finite element method is applied to study the fitting-in performance of the shrink fit collets and cutting tool and typical boll Nose End Mill clamp mechanism. The primary contributions of this paper are:1. The failure form, failure reason and style in different location of the HSK tooling system are analyzed systematically. On the basis of this investigation, relevant measures of avoiding HSK tooling system failure and improving safety are put forward, these relevant measures not only can supervise and standard the design, machining and application of the HSK tooling system, but also can provide scientific foundation for protecting equipments and operators.2. Through the theoretical analysis of shrink fit collets and the cutting tool, the calculational methods of the minimum interference and the max radius interference are given.3. Based on the finite element analysis of shrink fit extension which is common used in shrink fit collets and the cutting tool, it point out the optimal magnitude of their interference, provide theoretical method for tolerance on fit manufacture ,give limit speed and limit radical force., provide practical guide for its safe use.4. The finite element model of the typical boll Nose End Mill clamp mechanism is established, the constituents of the typical boll Nose End Mill clamp mechanism are analyzed, its major failure is the material failure of cutter holder and stretching screw are pointed out ,and then according to the present research level the material failure of cutter holder is analyzed and the limit speed is gotten.
