Along with human beings increasing energy demands, the fossil reserve on theearth is tending exhausting. Besides, for the serious consequence that brought by themass adoption of fossil fuel, severe air pollution has already been caused. Therefore,developing and utilizing renewable energy and green energy to achieve sustainabledevelopment has become a necessary measure for human beings to took. For itsunique advantages, solar energy has become the first choice for the development ofnew energy. Solar power generation has successfully attracted people’s specialpreference and attraction. Now solar photovoltaic power generation is promising anddeveloped relatively rapid home and abroad, while the detection and monitoring ofthe possibility of lightning stroke for photovoltaic system seems less considered andlack of lightning-proof measures for photovoltaic system, which is just on start period.We should not only consider the protection against direct lightning stroke, butalso attach importance to the possibility of protection against non-direct lightning(lightning induction and lightning wave) in solar photovoltaic power generationsystem. Meanwhile, not only to know the times of lightning strikes, but also theintensity of each lightning and the damages to each lightning protection device of thewhole lightning protection system. For this reason, an improved lightning monitoringsystem must be designed to protect the equipment of solar photovoltaic powergeneration system and personal safety.In this paper, the author has put forwarded the idea to take 2000 seriesTMS320F2812 as a core control chip to design hardware circuit of the lightningmonitoring for photovoltaic power generation system, which includes analog todigital conversion interface circuit, serial communication interface circuit and the dataacquisition circuit etc. on the basis of lightning monitoring system for solarphotovoltaic power generation system, and with the analysis of lightning formationrule, the characteristics of the lightning disaster as well as the characteristics of thelightning current. The lightning control system will be used to detect the pulse currentintensity, polarity of the voltage of lightning, lightning times lightning protectiondevice for each direct lightning stroke as well as the action damage of the lightningprotection device caused by various non-direct lightning strokes. For the effectiveprotection of outdoor photovoltaic power station array, the point is to correctlycalculate out the expected times of lightning strikes to outdoor solar photovoltaicpower station arrays, and use rolling sphere method to calculate the neededlightning-proof scope, thus select the model of the lightning rod and its performanceindicators.To design software for each module in the system on hardware platform,including programming of the serial communication module, ADC module, the dataprocessing module and display module. In addition, introduce the integrated DSP develepment environment CCS (Code Composer Studio) specifically, thisdevelopment environment provided the basic code generation tool, and possessed aseries of debugging and analysis capabilities. For combined grid of solar photovoltaicpower generation system the lightning monitoring system of this thesis has meet therequirements.
