Study On Lightning Protection Measures And Early Warning Of Large Oil Depot

Lightning is a ubiquitous natural phenomenon in the world.However,once lightning disaster is occurred,it will result in heavy economic losses and casualties.As the integration of the world economy and growth of national economy,the consumption and storage quantity of crude oil and petroleum products are continuously growing.In order to increase the storage quantity of crude oil,the development of oil tank capacity towards large scale and the groups of oil tanks become more and more in the oil depot of the petrochemical industry.Once the large oil tanks suffer from lightning stroke,it will bring heavy direct and indirect losses including casualties,production equipment damage,environment and ecology pollution,energy security threat,and so on.In order to protect the oil tanks from lightning disasters and to ensure safety in production,it is necessary to develop lightning and static electricity protection system and lightning monitoring and warning system.In this paper,we first investigate and systematically analyze the reasons that cause the lightning stroke accident in oil tanks.Then,we collect and analyze the experimental data about the regularity and characteristics of lightning,electromagnetic effect and resolution feature of lightning in the oil depot monitoring area.We propose a practical and reliable overall design plan for lightning anti-static system,and an online lightning monitoring and warning system in Dalian petrochina international oil reserve depot.The lightning anti-static system and lightning monitoring and warning system have been applied to Dalian petrochina international oil reserve depot.Application practice analysis results show that lightning protection anti-static system and online lightning monitoring and warning system improve the lightning protection performance for oil depot,During the operation of the Online lightning monitoring and warning system for 1 years,a total of 106 times alarm occurred,ensuring the safe operation for oil depot and improving the economic benefit.At the same time,according to the engineering practical experiences and operation management information feedbacks,we propose the specific hidden defect detection and risk management measures in lightning protection,and emphasize the importance of strengthening lightning protection propaganda and education for operators.
