This paper introduces the design of the all-round solar irradiance measurement andanalysis system which take the DSP processor as the core. The data which is collected fromthe system is used to analyze and assess the power generation efficiency of solar photovoltaicpower plant.The building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) has become an important developmentdirection of the current solar PV technology. The core is the solar PV modules whichcombined with the building exterior, and its installation must comply with the appearance ofthe building regulatory requirements. This leads to the solar panels can not be installed in theazimuth and elevation where the PV modules can generate the maximum power in theory, Soit is very valuable to assess the power generation efficiency of solar photovoltaic modules inthe BIPV. The all-round solar irradiance measurement and analysis system, which basis forthe design plan of the photovoltaic power plant in the BIPV, is comprehensive measuringequipment. The system can not only test the power generation efficiency of the solar PVmodules in all kinds of installation, which provide design basis for the BIPV power plant andthe traditional fixed PV power plant, but also manage and monitor the situation of the powergeneration after completion of the PV power plant.The thesis is divided into three parts: (1) the hardware design of measurement system. Ittake the ASDP-BF506 processor as as the core as the measurement system, it contains thestepper motor drive circuit, parameter measurement circuit(all-round solar irradiance,environmental temperature, environmental humidity and solar photovoltaic modulesbackplane temperature), the communication circuit and power supply controlseveral circuit,etc.; (2) the software design of measurement system. The ASDP-BF506 processor of the testsystem control the PTZ, that drive the PV modules where is installed on the PTZ to rotatefrom 0 to 90 degree in the longitudinal direction and to rotate from 0 to 180 degree in thetransverse direction, and sent the data of the test parameters to the host computer; (3) theanalysis software of the system. The system software not only can display, save and calibratethe all-round solar irradiance, but also can carry out the necessary analysis of the applicationafter the completion of the PV power plant in the BIPV.
