With the increasing number of tunnels, Engineering geological conditions of the tunnelproject is particularly important, Especially in tunnel construction process, As a result ofexcavates each kind of geological disaster which induces the confidentiality,Non-selective,the complexity and the burst characteristics, this becomes the restriction tunnel constructionthe primary factor. Practice has proved that carries on advance the geological forecast to thetunnel face before tunnel excavation, Can effectively guide the correct construction of thetunnel, Avoid the large landslide, mutation of gushing water and mud and other disasterswhich occurred due to geological conditions mutations. The paper on the basis of analysis summarizes the domestic and foreign GPR technology,Take the DA YA1st tunnel as the project background, Uses the GPR geology forecast system,Mainly aims at the most typical geological question of the tunnels such as crushed zone, jointed intensive band, karst and so on. Collects the related forecast material, To increase theGPR geology forecast system application precision the research work. Unify the sceneinvestigation with the indoor analysis, Unify the scene test with the geological analysis anduses the thought of systems assessment, Research the application of geological radar in tunnelgeology forecast. At the same time use FDTD carries on the numerical simulation to thegeological radar electromagnetic wave, While in the tunnel construction process, Carries onthe geological conditions of the site working face follow-up survey, pilot testing and analysis,The excavation of the actual geological condition and the radar forecast content as well as thenumerical simulation result carries on the contrastive analysis. The result indicated that thegeological radar regarding to geological questions such as fault, crushed zone, jointedintensive band, karst has the quite obvious reflection characteristic.
