At present, flotation bags is the most important helicopter life saving way at sea. It can provideemergency buoyancy in the water for the helicopter. In this paper, both static and dynamic analysis ofthe flotation bags to the stability of the helicopter has been done.On the static part, theory has been used to analyze the heeling stability of the helicopter and therighting moment has been calculated with the same tonnage. The result shows that helicopter flotationbags could significantly increase the righting moment size and the range, thereby enhancing itsstability.On the dynamic part, with the numerical simulation methods,first of all establishing a numericalwave tank in Fluent, using the VOF model and the boundary wave method to generate ahigh-precision second-order Stokes wave.Then on this basis, using the dynamic mesh to estabilsh anumerical model for analyzing the wave-structure interaction. And verifing its reliability with thedocument. Finally, using the numerical model to analyze the movement of the helicopter withflotation bags. The conclusion is that the flotation bags can significantly reduce the roll angle,enhance the stability of the helicopter in the wave action and prevent its capsizing. So the passengershave more time to escape from the cabin.
