Vibration characteristics of rolling bearing is an important dynamic performanceof rolling bearings and the bearing friction torque is an important index of evaluatinglife and the operational sensitivity of rolling bearing, vibration and friction torqueaffect life, noise, and reliability evaluation of the bearing. Because bearings are widelyapplied to various mechanical, future study of bearing vibration and friction torque isvery necessary and important. Because of the randomness and non-stability ofvibration and friction torque data, trend of bearing vibration and friction can not beaccurately calculated by classical statistical theory. Chaos theory and fuzzymathematics theory are introduced in the prediction field of bearing vibration andfriction torque in this paper, chaos and fuzzy theory are employed to recover theoriginal dynamic characteristics of a vibration or friction torque time series by meansof the phase space reconstruction theory.The test data of bearing vibration is got by actual experiment in this paper. Thevibration data which is collected at the three different fault diameter of bearing innerraceways and balls. Based on fuzzy similarity relation, a method for solving the phasespace reconstruction parameters is put forward, the optimal embedding dimension m*,the optimal delay time τ*and the characterization of vibration time series fuzzycharacteristics of the optimal fuzzy measure can be obtained. Vibration data arestudied by the mathematical model, the results shows, average of the optimal fuzzymeasure u decreases rapidly with increasing diameter of the inner raceway fault,average of the optimal fuzzy measure u and bolls fault diameter show a non-lineardecrease trend.The test data of bearing friction torque is also got by actual experiment in thispaper. Five sets of KAT bearings friction torque at three different kinds of speeds arecollected in the experiment. Based on fuzzy equivalence relation, a method for solvingthe phase space reconstruction parameters is put forward, the optimal embedding dimension m*, the optimal delay time τ*and the characterization of vibration timeseries fuzzy characteristics of the optimal fuzzy measure can be obtained at the sametime. Five sets of bearing friction torque are studied by the mathematical model, theresults shows, the relationship between average of the optimal fuzzy measure averageu and speed is approximate linear decrease.
