Energy-saving lighting system draws more and more attention because thepressure generated by the lighting loads on the grid and the improved requirements ofmodern people to the quality of the lighting environment, the study on energy-savinglighting dimming system is also gradually increasing. Current lighting dimming controlsystem which acts a positive promoting role on energy-saving, however it also existssome inadequacies be neglected. As Office supplies and people may shade illuminancesensors installed on the table so that the lighting dimming control system is not able toact correctly, then lead to a waste of energy resources, so a rational sensor placementmethod should be proposed. Inorder to solve the proposed problem, based on theilluminance ratio model, an index of illuminance-variation transfer ratio and anapproach using sensors installed on wall instead of table were proposed, a lightingdimming system also had been designed and finished, and the proposed approach wasapplied to a lighting dimming control system in classroom by simulations andexperiments, which confirmed the validity of the proposed approach.â‘ Based on the illuminance ratio model, choose an appropriate illuminance-variation transfer ratio between vertical illuminance on wall and horizontal illuminanceon table. The effects of the location of sensor and controlled lighting on theilluminance-variation transfer ratio were investigated by simulations and experiments. Two constraint conditions are presented for determining the location and number ofsensors in an office or reading room. The rational number and location of wall-sensorcan get by proposed constraint conditions.â‘¡Based on wall-sensor placement method, the proposed approach was appliedto a lighting dimming control system in classroom, ensure indoor artificial lightdimming control strategy, and analysis to dimming effect simulation, which confirmedthe validity of the proposed approach. The specific application of proposed method wasexplained in lighting room.â‘¢According to the proposed sensor placement method, a multi-functionallighting dimming system was designed and finished by existed lighting laboratory.Recorded corresponding experimental data by controlling each regional source, and thedata were analyzed with indoor simulations in the same experimental space. Thevalidity of the proposed approach was confirmed by the experimental results and the problem of dimming control system could not act correctly is resolved.
