The particularity of itself determined the structure and the mechanicalcharacteristics are obviously different with traditional frame-supported shear wallstructure. Although at present frame-supported short-leg shearwall structure haverecognized in engineering, the theory of this kind structure is not perfected, themechanical characteristics and seismic performance are still to be studied. The seismic behaviors of frame-supported short-leg shearwall structure areinvestigated in the thesis. Through two pseudo-static experiments of haunched beamtransfer frame-supported short-leg shearwall structure with shearwall arranged in themid-span of the beam under the vertical load and horizontal cyclic load, we get the basicperformance of the conversion structure, including the stress before or after cracking, the occurrence and development of cracks, the last of the failure pattern, thetransmission way pillar box of the load in short limb wall, transfer beam, etc. Test focuson the bearing capacity, ductility and energy dissipation capacity and stiffnessdegradation characteristics of frame-supported short-leg shearwall structure, this paperreveals the yield, the mechanism and failure mechanism of the structure in the verticaland horizontal cyclic loading.Test results show that the haunched beam transfer structures with frame-supportedshort-leg shearwall can effectively protect the beam-column joints, and the structurewith reasonable design will have good seismic behavior. For the short-leg shearwallarranged in the mid-span of the beam, transfer beam alone supports short-shear walls.Through the contrast of the experimental results W11-6and W11-1of the two specimensfound that moderate reduce W11-1intermediate short-leg shearwall limb length canobviously weaken the intermediate wall transfer shear to transfer beam.
