In recent years,researchers have attached importance to high damping polymerconcrete. Being mixed with polymer damping,properties of the concrete have improveda lot, which is extremely good to structural damping. However, such mechanicalproperties as the damping properties, strength of concrete haven’t been well solved,especially the concrete component materials from different origins make the problemmore prominent. In addition, the construction performance and durability of polymerconcrete have yet to be investigated. Therefore, my essay on the basis of previousexperiment, begins more in-depth research including the following aspects①.Taking into account the variability of the concrete component materials in theactual project, the basic constituent materials of concrete is first analyzed to provide away to make high-performance polymer concrete.②.Construction performance and mechanical properties of normal concrete andpolymer concrete of different mix proportion have been studied through trials. Throughcontrolling the construction performance and compressive strength values, theappropriate mix proportion has been selected.③.Have done mechanical performance tests and durability tests on normalconcrete and polymer concrete.④.Storage modulus, loss modulus and loss factor of ordinary cement mortar andthe cement mortar mixed with polymer have been tested with a DMA.⑤.Make a micro-analysis on cement mortar mixed with polymer by scanningelectron microscopy as well as on modification mechanism of the polymer concrete.⑥.Have vibration test and fatigue test on prestressed rectangular simply supportedbeam so that to compared the vibration characteristics and fatigue properties betweenpolymer concrete and normal concrete.The test has shown that concrete mixed with polymer improves it’s constructionperformance.Its flexural strength, splitting tensile strength, long-term durability arehigher than those of normal concrete. Even if it’s elastic modulus decrease, they stillmeet code. The cement mortar mixed with polymer has more loss factor than ordinarycement mortar. The microscopic analysis has shown that the amount of loss factor hasincreased thanks to reticular formation of high polymer in cement mortar. The dynamictest has shown that the damping properties of polymer concrete have greatly improved compared to the normal concrete. The fatigue test has shown that in the normal case thefatigue properties of polymer concrete beam correspond to that of ordinary concretebeam...
