In internal combustion engine, the corporation of the intake and exhaust system, thefuel supply system and the shape of the combustion chamber plays a very important rolein the combustion process. The air flow state has important influence on engine,including dynamical performance, economy performance and emission performance.Intake port is the important parts for intake and exhaust system, because of its shapeirregularities, the complexity of the flow field, is researching on a hot issue.The traditional engine of the intake port of designing method is combined experiencedesign with repeated tests. But this method has a large limitation in engine designprocess. Not only the design time is long, consume large amounts of human, material andfinancial recourse, and sometimes the scheme is very difficult to realize.Airflow movement in air intake system including air inlet, intake valve and aircylinder of LJ465engine producted in Liuzhou power machinery Co.,LTD have beenresearched through the numerical simulation method when valve lift changes. Theresearch content as follows:1. The tasks build combination model of air inlet, intakevalve and air cylinder applying the surface modeling function in Proe3D software, andcarry on three-dimensional numerical simulation analysis on the model utilizing Firehydrodynamics software.2. All kinds of fluid parameters and flow field distributions indifferent valve lift are discussed deeply.3. The valve inlet chamfering is improved, andthe flow parameters and flow field distributions are compared before and after theimprovement.This study aims to gain the flow parameters of airflow in the appointed system andthree-dimensional simulation results of turbulent kinetic energy, velocity field and fluidpath chart, analyzing the consequence and exploring the rule of flow movement.According to the law, several improve projects have been put forward which guide thedesign of the engine air intake system.
