In recent decades, with the application requirement of all kinds of facilities, the environment situation of construction site and the advocate of green buildings, the development of concrete admixture is very fast. For concrete, especially for high performance concrete, admixtures play a crucial role. It’s inperfect to evaluate concrete, especially high performance concrete quality by traditional compressive strength. In some large complex structures, such as large dams, ocean platforms and tidal power stations, concrete is working under complex stresses. In addition, in reinforced concrete buildings, special in some huge special structures, most of the concrete is working in obvious multiaxial stress condition. There is lots of experimental study on concrete in single and multiaxial stress state, the test are based on ideal state, specimens is symmetrical, and the resulting stress field also has high symmetry. It’s attrative to explore the destruction phenomenon of concrete in a lower or asymmetric complex stress state .In this paper, compression test of concrete trapezoid body is introduced, not to change the load angle, but to change the shape of specimens to make the them work in complex stress state when compressed. Therefore, the test methods and results can both be a supplement of evaluation method of concrete performance ,at the same time, compression test of trapezoid body is also a exploration of concrete destruction phenomenon under a lower symmetry or asymmetry complex stress state. Some concrete test research is introduced in this paper, the experimental results show that ratio of compression failure loads between trapezoid body and cube specimens in the same mix proportion is very stable, and the ratio can reflect the performances of concrete tension and shear to some extent.Trapezoid body will crack and break along its obtuse angle diagonal when compressed.Finite element analysis is also introduced in this paper, finite element analysis and experimental results coincide well, and this shows the test results is scientific and effective.
