As a new type of architecture, specially shaped reinforced concrete column achieves more and more extensive development and application. Specially shaped reinforced concrete column provides users an ideal living environment with the combined advantage of beautiful building structure, the flexibility of usable function, structural performance of reasonable force. However, its special shape makes it different in force, deformation characteristics and seismic performance with the general framework. So specially shaped reinforced concrete column is worth researching on.Due to the moment amplification factor of columns has been increased in the new code for design of concrete structures, the technical specification for concrete structures with specially shaped columns need to be revised. However, it has not been promulgated. In this paper, the major research target is to verify whether the moment amplification factor of columns, which was adjusted in the revised code for design of concrete structures, is applicable for specially shaped columns.The main work is carried out in two, three, four seismic rating, in accordance with the rules for the maximum height of frame housing or plus or minus a layer of the building into not consider floor slab, consider floor slab and to put part of bars into beam side of the floor, three models for modeling calculations. Firstly, using PKPM software to pick the middle of a pin structure framework in order to draw construction plans to get the actual configuration of reinforced of beam. Then by using CRSC software, the results of configuration of reinforced of columns can be obtained. After that, the beam and columns properties of yield data can be calculated by using Beammy and MyN software respectively. With the data obtained above, the input data files of NDAS2D software are written. And the seismic waves are entered to get seismic response. Finally, the plastic hinge distribution map can be gathered. By analyzing the plastic hinge distribution map, whether the end-column moment amplification factor value is appropriate or not can be confirmed.
