Accurate position and attitude are important parameters of satellite. With respect to formationflying satellites, both absolute and relative position and attitude are required for achieving target. Thisthesis focuses on the measurement of relative parameters of formation flying satellites. In traditional measurement technology, the combination of inertial senor and satellite sensor iscapable of getting attitude observation of high precision. Computer vision is widely used in measuringposition and attitude of satellites at close quarters. A high positioning accuracy contributes towidespread of GPS in attitude measurement. Besides, related research has been carried out of usingGPS in relative position and attitude measurement of formation flying satellite. This thesis addresses a method of using Quasi-GPS in relative parameter measurement offormation flying satellite and a measurement model of relative position and attitude, then linearizingthe corresponding observations, calculating position and attitude of the follower (satellite) relative tothe leader (satellite) by the least-squares method, finally estimating the measurement precision. In order to achieving high accurate relative position and attitude, this thesis builds the stateequation by Hill Equation and attitude kinematics equation, while it builds measurement equationbased on Quasi-GPS. Extended Kalman filter is used to precisely determine the position and attitudeof satellites. The simulation results show the validity of using Quasi-GPS in relative position andattitude measurement of high accuracy.
