In order to solve the energy crisis of growing shortage, vigorously developingrenewable, no pollution’s wind power has become the most important energy policy of thegovernments. So the sea wind farm constructions are developing very fast. China’s coastalhave very rich wind energy resources and the development using conditions are good.As thekey equipment for sea wind farm constructions,the offshore wind turbine installation vesselis a new type ship with propelled, jack–up, carriage and lifting functions.For the new ship has a self-elevating leg, a lifting device, a large crane of the weightand a larger deck loads, L/D and B/D have been beyond the current regulatory requirements.Currently there is no special specification that can be used to directly guide the ship’sdesign.The paper design power system of whole ship and carry on finite element structurestrength analysis of legs and hull.According to the ship characteristic, general arrangement, structure form and somemain equipment of the offshore wind turbine installation vessel, all kinds of power systemrequirement analysis are carried out,and put forward the integrated power system solvescheme.Using electric propulsion and electrohydraulic system for lifting and hoisting todo a detailed introduction about the design and selection of equipments.Finite element model of the offshore wind turbine installation vessel was esTab.lishedwith the Software of MSC.PATRAN. After analyzing different operating conditions oftransportation and installation, calculation situations were determined and kinds of loadswere analyzed and calculated. Stress distribution, deformation and stress capacity weregotten when sufferring a variety of loads. The results help to generally assess the offshorewind turbine installation vessel structures and structural optimization, which acts as areference in the design and development of the offshore wind turbine installation vessel.This paper mainly use the finite element method to do the research in the wind, waveand flow conditions, use MATLAB programming wave loads with time and space changing.Then complete the static and dynamic response analysis of legs. Static analysis selects wind,wave and flow under the most dangerous environment condition combination which is thebiggest environmental load,stress distribution, deformation and stress capacity will begotten. Dynamic response analysis presents the stress and the displacement response curvewith time changing under the five order stokes, the analysis results are close to staticanalysis results.The static and dynamic analysis method can be applied to offshore platformsand other equipments, it has reference significance in the certain degree.
