GPS timing multi-channel analyzer that is nuclear physics electronic equipment dedicatedto the capture, detection and analysis of radioactive elements. It mainly used in the study ofradioactive elements. It is not only measurement the radiation energy and radiation time intervalof radioactive elements, but also analyzes the corresponding data. The results of measurementsand data files provide a lot of help analysis and research on radioactive elements.Today, the commercialization of the analyzers is mostly foreign products yet domesticdevelopment of the analyzer is not fully mature. But the foreign analyzer is designed for usingof the field survey. It has two shortcomings if be used in the laboratory. First, equipment as thestudy of radioactive elements, it can not get the detailed spectroscopy data. Second, it can notcontact the time with multi-channel data. In order to overcome these deficiencies, the subjectthough GPS technology combined with radioactive elements spectrum measurement techniquedesigns a multi-channel analyzer base on GPS. The instrument is not only better for themeasurement of spectroscopy of radioactive elements, but also to get detailed data forsubsequent analysis. The article designs the overall program, the hardware of the system andPC software. The main contents include:(1) Through analysis the single-channel analyzer, data acquisition, GPS receiver, the articleraised the design of overall program. The analyzer has three major components. That is theprobe, the analyzer and the analysis software.(2)The article details the method of hardware design, and analyzes the connection betweenall the component modules in order to achieve the optimal system. The probe output signal isrelatively weak, use the linear amplification circuit to amplify the weak signal; to clutter signalfrom the amplification of the useful signal is removed, Design the distinguish circuit todetection the peak of radiation pulse. A/D circuit amplified signal from the linear amplificationcircuit. For the shortcomings of previous multi-channel, the article use GPS time data to markwith multi-channel.(3)The computer software is designed with VC language, which main functions are receivethe data from analyzer and store the data, eventually draw the energy spectra and time spectraof radioactive elements and the two spectra corresponding to the list file.The article completes the design of GPS timing multi-channel analyzer and use of standardradioactive sources that is plutonium test of the system. The test results show that the designedmeet the requirements of the system performance and technical indicators. The spectroscopy of radioactive elements measured by the analyzer is consistent with the radioactive elements in thespectra.
