With economic development and social progress,people more and more attachedimportance to the development and application of new enegry and renewable enegry.AtPresent,during the thermal applications of solar enegry,the solar water heating systemhas fully developed in technology,and has the most competitive power and itsapplication is widespread.The flat-plate collector is effective to improve theperformance of the collector and extend the service life using heat transfer mediumwhich has lots of advantages.In this paper, indirect heat exchanger flat-plate solarcollector has been analyzed theoretically on the fluid temperature of theone-dimensional energy balance equation which introduced the concept of the thermalcapacity and the thermal resistance. At the same time, obtained the calculation formulaof actual average fluid temperature.And then the performance of the collector with theethylene glycol-water solution as the circulating medium has been tested.Including theinstantaneous efficiency of the collector, heat loss coefficient, efficiency and heat gainsparameters of the system.And the influence and the interrelation of the ambient wind speed and theflat-plate solar collector performance were investigated. The test results showed that theaverage around efficiency of the indirect heat exchanger plate solar water heater isabout34%in Xi’an in spring.The experimental system of indirect heat exchanger flat-plate solar collector’sperformance was simulated analysis using TRNSYS in Xi’an. Compared the resultdiscrepancy bewteen the testing and simulation to testify the relibaility ofsimulation.And analyzed the inclined surface set heat in different angles of flat platesolar collector, the results are consistent with previous. Simulated the collector area and tank volume impact on the efficiency of the natural circulation hot water system andsolar fraction. Using optimization method to optimize the ratio of collector area andtank capacity based on the simulation results. Obtained the optimal value of the ratio ofcollector area and tank capacity VAR under different price points using flat-platecollector in the Xi’an.And then calculated the optimal collector area and solar fractionwhen the VAR was the optimal values,so as to provide reference for optimizationdesign of solar hot water system in Xi’an.
