FRP hollow slab-concrete composite bridge deck is a new-type of composite bridgedeck consisting of Fiber Reinforced Plastic hollow plate and concrete, which isconnected by a variety of connection.It can make full use of the good tensile propertiesof FRP profiles and the good compressive properties of concrete.FRP-concretecomposite bridge deck have several advantages, such as high strength, light weight,strong corrosion resistance, good fatigue resistance, but also can solve the disadvantagesas low rigidity and large deformation.It can reduce the weight of bridge upperstructureand the engineering quantity of bridge substructure, increase the limit of the bridge span.In the construction of the bridge deck, the FRP hollow slab function as a formwork, canreduce the construction process of erecting and dismantling the Formwork Supports, toachieve rapid construction.Therefore, FRP hollow slab-concrete composite bridge deckin bridge engineering, has a broad prospect of application.In the static tests, four FRP hollow slab-concrete composite bridge deck specimenswere tested in total, mainly study the failure process, the failure characteristics, thecracks development law and the midspan and loading point’s deflection characteristicsof the composite bridge deck specimens in different shear-span ratio.Observe andrecord the experimental phenomena and data, get the composite bridge deckspecimens’ load-deflection curves in midspan, strain distribution map and strain curveof the FRP hollow slab and concrete in key position when under different loads, andthen explore this kind of new structure of superior performance and deficiency. Establish the static design method of FRP hollow slab-concrete composite bridgedeck in the construction phase, then give the FRP hollow slab’s bearing capacitycalculation formula and the deflection formula, and calculation to verify.According to the4block of FRP hollow slab-concrete composite bridge decks’staticloading test, Establish the bearing capacity and rigidity of the deformation calculationmethod of the composite bridge deck in the use of phase, and then compare with themeasured results, to provide a reference and recommendations for this kind ofcomposite bridge deck in engineering design.
