Because of its strong adaptability,cast steel node, as a new form of nodes, isapplied in the large span space structures.In the modern big span structures, the caststeel node has some advantages,such as artistic modeling, plasticity, safe and reasonablestress and so on.Therefore, it’s gradually applied in practical projects by engineeringdesign personnel.First of all, by the cast-steel materials, types, characteristics, production process,finite element analysis principle and design rules and so on by studying the cast steelapplication technology procedures in the paper.Secondly, by ANSYS finite element analysis software,this paper researches thecast-steel joint about its stress distribution,deformation distribution andLoad-displacement curve in maximum deformation.At the same time, considering keygeometry parameters influence of cast steel joint, by the aid of nonlinear elastoplasticanalysis,using Mise yield criterion,the authors reach its ultimate bearing capacity. In theprocess of solving nonlinear finite element,considering some factors such as meshingprecision,boundary conditions,material properties and loading method,the authors usethe10-node solid element to have a higher precision of ultimate bearing capacity of thecast steel joint.It shows that if designed reasonably,the multi-tubular cast steel jointsonly yield to axis force with tubes. And the fracture forms of crushing and excessivedeformation due to thepulling and pressing of the branch tube can be avoided which canmake full use of cast steel material strength and improve the safety of the structures.Finally, by the aid of finite element analysis software of capacity of36differentsize cast steel joints,authors compare their stress distribution,deformation distribution of axial force and load displacement curve in maximum deformation each other understatic role,then get the influence factors and the suggestion formula of ultimate bearingcapacity.Based on it, some beneficial suggestions and the theory basis are suggested.
