Chongqing has the pretty "Shan-Shui" pattern because it has the very good naturalscenery foundation. For a long time, its urban construction also echoes with this kind ofscenery pattern, both of the overall urban layout and urban space environment to pursuethe harmonious among natural, urban and human, so Chongqing has some beautifulnames, such as "Mountain City" and "River City". The public in the traditional urbanspace can have a strong sense of belonging and a sense of direction, the space ispleasant, in harmony with nature. But along with Chongqing City enters into the phaseof rapid development, the model which excessive pursuit of speed and scale hasneglected the fine optimization of city inner space. In a globalized world, to promote themulti-fusion, but also caused a number of region characteristics impact and graduallyfade or even vanishes. Facing all sorts of contradictions about "modern and traditional","local and foreign", the people in the city is easy to get lost and the sense of belongingreduces, usually can only distinguish some space environment clearly within the dailylife radius. As early as the1960s, Kevin Lynch pointed out that the human with theurban environment which it locates has the bidirectional function, this relationship isexpressed as the city image, and the city image can be shaped and optimized. The relation of "living" and "life" is similar to "space" and "place", the former arejust as the existence of material substance level, while the latter need to integrate intothe spiritual significance, is the sublimation of the former, the "place" has "Genius loci","space" is not. Chongqing has a diversified and solid culture, continuation of thesecultures, highlighting the "Shan-Shui" City’s characteristics of Chongqing, andestablishing a better correlation between the human and the space environment, shapinga complete image of the distinctive landscape of Chongqing city is the origin of thisstudy. The development of modern urban design has been separated from the initiallypursued on physical form and pragmatic mode, it began to pay more attention to human, from psychology, sociology, economics, and other aspects of the comprehensive studyof the three-dimensional space of the city.
