Currently, ink-jet printing technology presents trends in terms of high-speed, lowmaintenance, user-friendly and intelligent operation. However, domestic ink-jet printertechnology is widely divergent with that at abroad, which cannot meet the demand ofproduct line and society in China. To solve the problems above, this paper, on the basis ofthe original hardware design, studies and implements a product line ink-jet printer controlmethod based on the embedded system.Firstly, this paper introduces the status in quo and development trend of ink-jetprinter technology at home and abroad, studies the composition and classification of theink-jet printer, and puts forward the product line ink-jet printer design specifications anddesign principles. According to the design specifications and design principles, a softwarearchitecture of product line ink-jet printer control method is proposed.Secondly, this paper studies in depth and achieves the three key technologies in thewhole control method including the upper and lower machine communication method,printing data conversion algorithm and synchronization strategies, and printing phasecontrol method. Upper and lower machine communication method is used for thecommunication between microcontroller and CPU. The print data conversion algorithmand synchronization strategies describe in detail the conversion process of the print dataand print high-speed data, real-time, synchronous transmission control method and itssoftware implementation. An efficient and accurate phase detection algorithm is proposedin the printing phase control method, followed by analysis of the phase error which canoptimize software to reduce errors and improve the phase accuracy.Thirdly, the control methods of three key modules including the print control module,ink control module, human-computer interaction module are picked out to elaborate ondesign and their software implementation details.Finally, in order to verify the feasibility and practicality of the product line ink-jetprinter control method, the integration test of the prototype system’s main modules iscarried out on the basis of the original hardware, which achieves expected results.
